Branch Operations Associate (Leadership Track)
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Are you ready to grow beyond the counter and the warehouse? We are seeking a highly motivated and career-minded individual to join our team as a Branch Operations Associate. This is not just a job - it is a launchpad. You will start by learning the ropes of both customer-facing and warehouse responsibilities and be trained across multiple areas of the business with the goal of becoming a future leader within our branch operations.
In this role, you will support both counter sales and warehouse functions, ensuring exceptional service, operational accuracy, and great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Counter & Sales Support
- Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone with professionalism and product knowledge.
- Accurately process orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter and showroom area.
- Address customer concerns promptly, and escalate any issues related to inventory or delivery as needed.
- Stay current on product offerings and industry trends to better support customer needs.
- Build lasting relationships by delivering exceptional service and value.
Warehouse & Fulfillment
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders - will-calls should be staged within one hour.
- Receive, stock, and organize incoming deliveries in proper locations.
- Double-check all order picks to maintain 100% accuracy.
- Operate with a safety-first mindset, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support general warehouse upkeep and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Growth & Leadership Path
- Be open to learning every area of the branch - from inventory management to inside sales and logistics.
- Demonstrate initiative and reliability; show your readiness to step into greater responsibility.
- Perform other duties as needed, with opportunities to take on leadership projects or team coordination roles over time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in electrical or plumbing systems or related fields is required.
- Previous experience in customer service or sales role, in the electrical or plumbing wholesale industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale systems or similar software.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Undergo pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screen
- In This position you may be required to travel and work at multiple locations based on operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a customer service/sales environment.
- Knowledge of residential, construction and commercial electrical, plumbing and lighting products is a plus.
- Experience with inventory management systems or related software.
Essential Functions:
- Work in a warehouse setting; some outdoor exposure during the workday; temperature is not controlled
- Required to stand and walk for long periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull pallet jack or cart weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Able to perform repetitive motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing, including the motion of placing and removing the product from shelves, stabilizing on the mode of delivery, or carrying by hand.
- Ability to perform light driving/delivery duties via company truck; perform repeated motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing; including motion of getting in and out of the truck from the driver seat, removing the product from the truck, stabilizing on the mode of delivery via two-wheel dolly or carrying by hand.
- The ability to safely operate a Forklift is a plus
