In this role, you will assist with all aspects of the warehouse operation, including managing, verifying and maintaining Finished Goods Inventory, shipping, receiving, and material control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
In a safe manner, moves and handles raw materials, additives, colorants, inserts, packaging and post-production runners.
Effectively communicates with Shift Supervisors and/or Process Technicians regarding the status of materials staged for upcoming jobs and changes in priorities.
Properly maintains all documents including Work Orders and Material Movement Tracker and Blendmix Creation forms. Ensures LOT Number traceability on all documents.
Prepares daily Material Department activity reports and distributes to appropriate stakeholders.
Accurately interprets and executes safety procedures.
Participates in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Vocal in bringing suggestions to the discussions.
Follows all safety procedures in the execution of job duties.
Operates forklift to move and warehouse raw materials (maintains proper equipment certifications).
Verifies that incoming material descriptions are accurate and that LOT Numbers are accurately recorded in ERP system, using a scan gun.
Controls inventory management according to First In First Out (FIFO) manner.
Performs all system transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepares blend mixes according to Work Order ensuring that proportions of base material and color concentrate or additive are accurate. Ensures that LOT Number traceability protocols are followed and accurate.
Properly maintains and cleans hoppers, hoses and filters.
Notifies maintenance department of any equipment that is not properly functioning.
Verifies proper hopper size is selected to meet material drying requirements (air flow).
Ensures dryers are set to the appropriate temperature and that drying time requirements are achieved.
Supports system and material handling aux equipment startup on weekend in prep for first shift on Monday mornings.
Performs monthly and year-end physical count inventory.
Performs cycle counting of high-volume and high-cost materials per schedule.
Maintains a 98% (or higher) inventory accuracy.
Demonstrates ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Supports warehouse with shipping and receiving by: working with freight company representatives during the loading and unloading of product to ensure material movements are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Supports warehouse with supply inventory (pallets, packing materials, etc.) and alerts warehouse assistant when reorders are needed.
Maintains a clean work area, including desk, warehouse shelves and floor.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Respectively takes direction from manager and other stakeholders.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Displays excellent communication skills required in working with coworkers. Demonstrates the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Actively participates in programs identified by Falcon as essential, developing and maintaining the skills and knowledge to be effective in the role.
