Description

Our law Firm is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of a Paralegal. This role will be responsible for working closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to conduct the day-to-day operations of the law office, provide administrative support, and ensure compliance with client and legal regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys by providing clerical and research support services.
  • Conduct document preparation and review, research, investigations, and fact-checking.
  • Prepare for trials, including the drafting of legal documents such as routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
  • File motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources, providing written analysis to attorneys.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
  • Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
  • Perform administrative services to support the legal team and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication with clients and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and good judgment, and manage sensitive information.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Requirements

  • Prior legal experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Comfortable operating and learning computer programs and web-based systems.
  • Knowledge of the Mortgage Default industry is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of working experience as a paralegal.
  • Title experience a plus
  • Hybrid work environment

Compensation Details:  $28.00-$30.00/hr.

The compensation amount is not guaranteed. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position, however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications

Employee Benefits: 

After a 90-day introductory period, full-time employees are eligible for a competitive benefits package, including:

  • Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, voluntary life, and critical illness at competitive rates.
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance: One times annual salary (min. $25,000, max. $200,000).
  • Paid Time Off: Accrues at 2 weeks per year, increasing after 2 and 5 years. Paid holidays included.
  • 401(k): Eligible after 6 months of employment for employees 21 and older.
