The Impact You'll Have: The HR Intern will assist the Human Resources department in various administrative and operational functions. This position provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR practices within a dynamic and fast-paced civil engineering firm. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with an interest in HR processes and recruiting. Tasks You'll Assist With: Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing documentation and orientation agendas. Assist in the recruitment process by reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate databases. Source potential candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed and other job platforms. Help in managing employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events. Help maintain and update HR databases and systems. Conduct research and assist in preparing reports related to HR metrics and trends. Participate in HR projects related to employee training and development. Provide administrative support to HR staff, including scheduling meetings and preparing meeting agendas. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Prior internship or volunteer experience in HR or a related field is a plus, but not required. The pay rate for this position is expected to be $21-23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
