We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the law office, providing administrative support to enhance office effectiveness, drafting legal documents, copying, mailing, E-filing, and corresponding with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the office, effective case management, and a broad range of administrative tasks. The candidate must be proficient in utilizing technology to carry out these tasks. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support and assistance with legal documentation, case management, and office operations. Draft legal documents, correspond with clients and other departments, and ensure timely filing and organization of documents. Handle mailroom duties, including sorting and mailing packages (estimate of 2-3 hours per day depending on volume), and perform related tasks such as running copies. Organize packages and letters at the desk and deliver them to the mailroom as needed. Operate office equipment, such as copiers, and ensure supplies are stocked. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for up to 4 hours per day when assigned to mailroom duties. Ability to walk, stand, and perform minimal twisting while making copies, stuffing envelopes, and organizing documents. Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds if handling larger amounts of mail (e.g., a mail bucket), though this is not a requirement for the role.   Position Requirements Position Requirements Prior legal experience preferred but not required. Excellent writing, proofreading, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to take direction and work independently. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Comfortable operating and learning computer programs and web-based systems.
