About the job:

The Senior HR Leader  is a vital member of the Operations Team, with a focus on HR operations, compliance, and employee relations. This role is responsible for fostering a positive organizational culture, managing key HR functions, and enhancing employee engagement. The Senior HR Leader will work closely with the operations and research departments to implement HR strategies, ensure compliance, and support seamless operational and cultural processes.

The Senior HR Leader will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and will be responsible to lead the HR functions. These functions include HR Operations and Compliance, Employee relations and engagement, Recruiting and onboarding, Immigration support,  Talent development and Performance management, Payroll and HR Data management.  Your Role:

You will understand and drive organizational goals, interpret organizational situations by applying both common sense and company policy, consider the legal impact on decisions, and minimize the potential negative financial risk. We will count on your years of experience to help ensure a productive workplace, enhance job satisfaction, maintain HR compliance, and keep employee retention rates high. In addition to employee engagement and the HR function management, this role will work to understand the organizational health, support leadership development, manager coaching and lead special transformation projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative leader able to work across operational functions and research professionals, including coaching leaders and driving leadership development
  • Proactive leader focused on driving results while improving and updating processes and tools
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process and conduct employee orientation
  • Manage the immigration processes for international hires and interns
  • Provide support to employees and resolve issues with HR-related topics
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient workplace
  • Gather data to determine and analyze HR metrics
  • Organize training and development initiatives across the organization
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new rewards and benefits
  • Support, create, and facilitate employee engagement and team-building programs
  • Responsible for payroll
  • Maintain local personnel files in electronic form
  • Provide effective employee relation counseling on company policies and procedures
  • Use Office 365, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports and presentation
 
Position Requirements

Your Skills And Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in HR
  • At least 5 years of experience in a research environment
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Ascentis, ADP)
  • Strong knowledge of Immigration processes to support a diverse population
  • Advanced knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Compensation and Benefits, FMLA, FLSA, Labor Relations, and health and safety
  • Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
