As a Prism Payer Relations Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering excellence while navigating the fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape of insurance contracting. Your work will help to design and execute payer contracting strategies to meet the financial, operational, and strategic needs of the organization.    A day in the life of a Payer Relations professional: Administrative tasks surrounding the pursuit of credentialing and contracting with government and commercial insurance payers, networks, or other forms of payers. On going completion of payer credentialing and re-credentialing requirements in a comprehensive and timely manner. Effectively establish payers for electronic claim submission and payment receipt. Regularly update and contribute to multiple databases of contracted and non-contracted payers. Maintain provider portal accounts and applicable databases via registration, password resets and problem-solving any login related issues. Assist in problem solving of contracting and claims processing issues through collaboration with internal departments and contracted and non-contracted payers. Support and serve as a resource for all department opportunities to include, but not limited to, health plan data base updates, health plan research and development, and health plan communications. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance. Resolve any are of non-compliance immediately. Perform other duties as requested by the Payer Relations Coordinator.   Position Requirements Education/Experience/Knowledge Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate or bachelors’ degree in relevant field preferred. General knowledge of medical business organization and operations. Up to date with computer navigation comprehension to fully execute all job functions. Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external partners. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
