Position Description:

This position is responsible for the providing support to the Athletic Director and Coaches, along with the Student Athletes.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support regarding athletic department travel, credit card statements, purchase orders and requisitions as directed by the Athletic Director and coaches.
  2. Coordinate the practice and game facility schedule and provide to the Facilities Department.
  3. Prepare online Letters of Intent for each athlete as directed by the Athletic Director or his/her designee.
  4. Prepare Right-To-Know data for publication.
  5. Assist with the preparation and submission of all NJCAA online reports, including student eligibility, Gender Equity in Athletics Survey, and NJCCA Academic Student Athlete Awards nomination; and others as directed by the Athletic Director or his/her designee.
  6. Assist student-athletes as a liaison with other college departments such as admissions, financial aid and the registrar.
  7. Provide content, articles and photographs for ACC athletic website, ACC athletic social media, NJCAA National, NJCAA Region XII and MCCAA.
  8. Assist in home game day operations as assigned; including stats, videotaping and live streaming, uploading to conference repository, ticket sales and promotions.
  9. Assist Athletic Director as directed with outreach to local businesses and potential donors about marketing at home games and/or home events as well as athletic fundraising.
  10. Administer all aspects of athletic medical insurance with our provider; gather required information from students, athletes and their families; prepare claim forms; submit description of treatment; do follow-up on claims; and perform online check payments to vendors.
  11. Create and distribute student athlete eligibility packets to ensure proper information is provided for student athlete eligibility and ensure proper completion and timely filing of eligibility reports.
  12. Initiate and monitor online pay for referees and umpires for college sporting events.
  13. Schedule workers for all athletic events and process payments for workers.
  14. Compile data for and compose a program for home athletic events.
  15. Compile sport schedules and notify media of home game changes and times.
  16. Coordinate the production of season passes and proper distribution.
  17. Update the athletic showcase and content for athletic television display as needed.
  18. Presence on the job is an employee’s fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
 
Position Requirements

Position Qualifications:

  1. Education – Minimum of an Associate Degree required.
  2. Experience – Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
  3. Experience with NJCAA preferred.
  4. High proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, English composition, grammar and punctuation required.
  5. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with others in a kind and courteous manner.
  6. Demonstrated ability to compose and prepare written correspondence required; both individual and mass mailings.
  7. Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel required.
  8. Demonstrated organization skills with close attention to detail.
  9. Ability to create and post social media including graphics.
  10. Ability to maintain confidential information.
  11. Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment, follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and complete work in an accurate and timely fashion.
