Position Description:

Provides technical support, clerical support, and assistance in data processing activities.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Education –Associate degree required, preferably in a related field.
  2. Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.
  3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with others in a kind and courteous manner.
  4. Ability to transcribe, compose and prepare written correspondence required.
  5. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft products required, including Word and Excel
  6. Ability to learn troubleshooting techniques for technology used at ACC required.
  7. Ability to learn basic system user management required. This includes account creation, deletion, and management.
  8. High proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, English composition, grammar and punctuation required.
  9. Must be able to work with confidential information.
  10. Must be able to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  11. Ability to work independently.

 

 
Position Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Receive technology support requests
    1. Communicate with requestor to interpret reported issues or requests. Best ascertain required information for resolution.
    2. Attempt to resolve issues with requestor prior to escalating to a technician.
    3. Redirect requests to the appropriate department for topics including, but not limited to, registration, financial aid, bookstore purchases, facilities rental, and general college inquiries.
    4. Note resolution details of support request when appropriate.
  2. Perform on-boarding for technical resources and account support for staff and students.
  3. Provide support to staff and students for college provided software.
  4. Aid the department in tracking technical assets.
  5. Maintain a moderate level of proficiency in student administrative software applications supported by OIT.
  6. Anticipate and track purchases, software licensing, and printer stock inventory. Maintain knowledge and understanding of existing contracts and procurement processes.
  7. Communicate effectively with vendors on purchasing, pricing, ordering, warranty and issues.
  8. Review monthly departmental budget and provide details when asked.
  9. Use computers for various application commonly used in a business environment.
  10. Maintain college phone listings.
  11. Transcribe, compose and prepare written correspondence. Design, without assistance, brochures, forms, letters, and other office correspondence.
  12. Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork.
  13. Prepare outgoing mail, sort incoming mail.
  14. Requisition and keep records of office supplies. Maintain office supplies and campus-wide printer supplies.
  15. Assist with ordering and activation of cell phones, as directed by supervisor
  16. Attend college meetings and prepare minutes, when necessary.
  17. Presence on the job is an employee’s fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
