POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable manner. Performing Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) examination on patients to determine peripheral vascular disease.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform all ordered ABI per Practice protocol and guidelines.
  • Communicates with all employees, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Handles and maintains knowledge of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
  • Complies with all facility policies and procedures, while upholding the high expectations of the Practice.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and appropriate facility meetings.
  • Shares knowledge and experiences gained from own clinical practice and relevant education.
  • Participates in the orientation, training and teaching of other employees as needed.
  • May assist with and respond to all electronic faxed, telephone refill request and, patient portal messages.
  • Travel to all offices when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of licensure.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Skills in the process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-years medical experience preferred (CNA, MA, LPN or equivalent a plus).
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
