PT/Summer - YWCA Women's Triathlon Assistant Coach
Pay Range $22-$25/hour
The YWCA's Women's Triathlon is an annual event held to celebrate the strength of all women. It is the largest triathlon in Minnesota and one of the largest women's triathlons in the nation.
We are looking an Assistant Coach to work with our Race Director to help facilitate Triathlon training classed from June through August 2025.
This would be a temporary, part-time position (approximately 10 hours per week) starting June 2nd and ending August 24th.
The Assistant Coach will:
Provide established YWCA Minneapolis race training class instruction to registered participants
Provide coaching feedback and support to participants as needed Partner with the Race Director to complete required administrative and reporting needs associated with the Triathlon.
The Assistant Coach will have:
Ability to commit to set class schedule approximately 10 hour per week - primarily Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and most Saturdays and Sundays
Ability to work pre-race, post-race and race day hours (August 9, 10, 11).
Comfort and competency in:
Swimming - lake swimming - ability to swim over 400 yards (front crawl)
Biking - City Streets - ability to bike over 10 miles
Running - City Streets - ability to run at a 10 minute per mile pace.
And must be:
First aid and CPR Certified
Able to lift 45 pounds.
Comfortable teaching classes in an outdoor setting.
Able to provide their own (or can acquire) functional bike and bike helmet.
