Share Email Opening Title Maintenance Assistant  Category Administration   Description CMCSB is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to provide general maintenance and repair work at all program locations. Will assist in the provision of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry services. As directed, will provide snow removal, mow lawns, clean agency owned vehicles, provide housekeeping at facilities, and ensure all facilities are maintained in a safe manner. Workdays and shifts may vary.   Position Requirements High School or GED equivalent is required. Must have basic knowledge and proficiency in areas of electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repair. Must also have knowledge and physical ability to operate hand tools, vehicles, mowers and etc. Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted is required. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
