Description

YWCA Minneapolis Children's Center at Midtown is looking for professional, passionate educators to help us deliver award-winning care and education to Infants and Toddlers.  We offer competitive pay, excellent benefits (including health insurance options, generous paid time off, free YWCA Minneapolis Health & Wellness memberships, and support for further education and professional development), and a dynamic, welcoming environment. 

We seek candidates who:

  • Enjoy working as a member of a team;
  • Possess a strong knowledge of and interest in early childhood development;
  • Understand the importance of education beginning at birth;
  • Are able to recognize and validate children's thoughts and emotions;
  • Will actively engage with children and partner with parents to nurture; overall development (social-emotional, cognitive, fine/gross motor, literacy and language, etc.) help children build self-esteem and positive self-images; and
  • Are committed to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.

All of our centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and are Four Star Parent Aware rated.

 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or equivalent-OR-Bachelor degree in another area with at least 36 credits in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2080 hours of classroom experience.
  • Preferred: Current First Aid and CPR certifications
