We’re looking for certified, committed, and creative Assistant Principal to join our dynamic team for the 2025-2026 school year!
Role Overview:
Analyze longitudinal student data to determine class needs for individual students and the school as a whole
Design a school master schedule based on the needs of the students and communicate findings with principal
Implement the creation of the school master schedule including the possible delegation of scheduling individual students.
- Creation of the master schedule and determining the course needs of students is the responsibility of the AP
- Ensure that ESE, ESOL, state requirements, and support classes are in place
- Ensure that teacher in/out of field requirements are followed
- Ensure that all FTE reports are clear and documentation is complete and correct
- Oversee teacher gradebook compliance, grade distribution, parent notification, progress reports, report cards, and promotion requirements
- Oversee ESE to ensure there is a valid push in schedule, IEP's are current, and that supports are documented.
- Oversee Guidance department and effectiveness of programs, direct credit checks by guidance as needed
- Oversee CRT in regards to enrollment, records, FTE, and grades
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may include, but not limited to the following):
- Gather and analyze data on student achievement
- Communicate with parents regarding academic progress and steps needed to improve student performance.
- Assist in preparation of curriculum and coordinates the course selection procedures.
- Schedule meetings with each teacher to determine what students are struggling or require interventions.
- Observe and monitor classes to evaluate each teacher's effectiveness.
- Provide coaching and professional development resources to teachers.
- Conduct teacher conferences and suggest strategies to improve student performance.
- Observing, counseling, and motivating professional staff toward attaining the educational goals of the school.
- Maintaining a school climate which encourages cooperation and participation.
- Develop the use of innovative technologies that impact teaching and learning to include showcasing of innovative instructional design resources to school staff through PLCs, one-on-one coaching and staff professional development.
- Identify intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs affecting students' success in school, and take steps to direct and coordinate the efforts of teachers and parents with staff services and special education personnel.
- Provide ongoing, job-embedded professional development for school personnel utilizing data driven decision making through the problem solving process and that comply with district, state, and federal standards.
- Affecting or recommending changes which will lead to improved administration, supervision and opportunity for student development.
- Review, authorize, or disapprove all professional staff requests for instructional materials and equipment within the approved budget and upon team feedback.
- Participate in the creation of a school improvement plan as needed.
- Attend professional conferences, seminars, and workshops in education.
- Performing all other acts reasonable and necessary to accomplish his/her function as requested by Principal.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree of related subject from accredited university. Teacher certification from the State Department of Education is required. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring.
