The Technician I role is an end user support position whose primarily responsible for the upgrade, support and maintenance of the existing computer systems and software for Volunteers of America of Minnesota.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Install, maintain and upgrade workstations and stand alone computers at all locations. This will include, but is not limited to, maintenance to systems, Operating Systems, email and networking
·The ability to understand and troubleshoot computers and software·Strong self-discipline and self-motivation as many tasks are self-directed·Strong skills in customer and people relations·Resource for technical information including applications and needs of our various programs and staff
·Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations and best practices
·Must be able to work regularly scheduled working hours (possible overtime)
