The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) sponsors a variety of research studies designed to collect data about fishing activity and effort. One such study is the Access-Point Angler Intercept Survey (APAIS), a field intercept effort conducted with recreational saltwater anglers at fishing access points in the thirteen Atlantic states north of Florida. The purpose of the APAIS is to collect information about fishing effort, biological information on available and unavailable catch, and demographic information.
This information is collected by Field Staff , who provide contracted field support for data collection conducted by RTI. Field Staff will be assigned to prepare for and conduct data collection operations as prescribed by the project requirements on which they will be trained. Field Staff will ensure that field data collection activities are conducted in an efficient and cost-effective manner, that data is collected according to specific project protocols, and that assignments are conducted in a professional manner and handled according to established procedures.
This is a part-time, temporary position requiring availability of at least 3 days a week, working in 8 hour shifts. All Field Staff work as employees of Headway Workforce Solutions.
