Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, adaptable, a forward thinker, with a strong commitment to supporting our employees and enhancing our workplace culture.

Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, and managing HR database.
  • Recruitment: Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, fostering a positive and approachable HR presence.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all HR activities.  Attend safety and staff committee meetings and trainings.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, employee engagement activitie, and employee recognition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively Human Resources experience
  • Ability to keep work related infrastructure confidential
  • Strong ethical and moral character references
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication5. Excellent capability of working independently with minimal instructions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, with commitment to accuracy, detail follow-up and follow-through
  • Strong computer/typing skills

We are governed by a voluntary local Board of Trustees, with residents represented through the Residents Council. The Manor operates as a Life Care Retirement Community with the oversight of the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Hillcrest, our assisted living center, is licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly by the California Department of Social Services. Our Health Center is licensed as a skilled nursing facility by the California Department of Public Health.
