Sign-on bonus of $2,500.00, paid in 2 installments. 14 paid holidays. Accrue up to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year from year one. PTO is immediately available upon accrual. Malpractice insurance provided at no cost.  Essential Functions Provides initial evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with psychiatric conditions. Provide medication monitoring, prescribing medications as indicated, adjusting dosages, and monitoring for response and side effects. Coordinates care with other members of the treatment team as well as outside medical providers. Works with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to administer the best care for those patients needing not only medical therapy but behavior health services as well. Provide education regarding illness and prognosis to assist with clarification of patient and family goals of care and support development of a comprehensive care plan. Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services. Maintain up to date knowledge base in provision of psychiatric treatment, including psychopathology, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and psychosocial treatments through reading and other continuing education activities. ensure that individuals receive the clinically appropriate level of care as established by the client’s Individual Service Plan. Requirements Prescriber must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program Must possess an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate Valley Community Services Board is an equal employment opportunity employer.
