POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be part of the start-up Ambulatory Surgery Center Research program and will assist in the management of clinical research studies focused on cardiology devices. This role involves coordinating clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records of study data.

 

Flexibility as a part-time or PRN position with growth into full-time as the role grows and develops.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Planning, coordination, necessary training, and execution of clinical trials.
  • Conduct prescreening of potential patients and enroll participants, obtain informed consent, and ensure compliance with study protocols.
  • Collect, record, and manage study data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure necessary regulatory compliance filings, adverse event reporting, and ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Maintain essential regulatory documents, including study protocols, consent forms, and adverse event reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Communicate with study participants, healthcare providers, and administration to ensure smooth study operations.
  • Assist with any necessary applications, prepare study documentation, and manage study correspondence.
  • Any other duties as assigned or requested.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities.
  • Skill in resolving patient inquiries and diffusing issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of clinical research regulations.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Allied Health, Life Sciences preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in clinical research or related field, cardiology experience a plus.
  • Prior experience interacting with physicians and medical staff.
