Clinician CASS 12.21.2012 


The Clinician is responsible for comprehensive clinical assessment, brief individual and family therapy, coordination and communication of care with other providers, and linkage to other services as indicated for yourth in foster care whose current placement may be at risk of disruption.  Services are community-based and may be proviced in foster homes, schools, 6-6 programs, during visitation, and at community locations.  The position is also responsible for case management, administrative documentation and participating in trainings as assigned. 

Along with the rest of the team, the Clinician actively supports and impliments wraparound philosophy and its individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach.  Experience with youth in foster care, trauma exposed children, and family intervention are preferred.  Licensed or license eligible MA/PhD required.


Position Requirements

  1. Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent; or, MSW or MA in Counseling from an accredited college or university.

  2. Licensed in the State of California by the Board of Psychology; or, licensed in the State of California by the Board of Behavioral Science.

  3. At least one year of post-graduate residential, community-based or milieu experience preferred.

  4. Bilingal (Spanish) strongly preferred.

  5. Licensed PsyD/PhD with experience with young children, trauma-informed therapy and attachment-based interventions
