Description

As the Public Area Lead, you will help the management team oversee daily cleaning operations across the venue, ensuring all areas consistently meet high standards of cleanliness. This role involves assigning duties, training, and leading public area attendants, and performing thorough inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness. You'll play a key role in maintaining AREA15's exceptional guest experience, supporting team performance, and ensuring safety compliance. The Public Area Lead also works closely with management to implement efficient cleaning strategies, monitor inventory, and enhance overall venue operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assign daily cleaning duties to public area attendants as guided by the management team.
  • Complete checklists accurately and timely, including but not limited to: shift, venue, daily, and safety checklists
  • Ensure a safe working environment at AREA15 and its supporting venues. Report abnormality timely.
  • Train, lead, and assist public area attendants as guided.
  • Understand and adhere to safety data sheets and regulations. Report abnormality timely.
  • Ensure time sheets are completed correctly.
  • Conduct inspections of the venue, event spaces, food & beverage locations, parking lots, and other assigned areas to ensure top-tier cleanliness.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with managers concerning all Public Area Department and guest service-related issues.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Clean up biohazard areas as necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment is returned to the department and report malfunctions.
  • Carry a 2-way radio and respond to requests from other departments.
  • Maintain inventory and order necessary cleaning supplies timely as guided.
  • Sweep and remove debris from sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Spot mop spills, sweep stairwells, and dust handrails as needed.
  • Remove trash from receptacles in common areas.
  • Clean and maintain rugs, carpets, and floors in all public areas, including hallways, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  • Utilize commercial cleaning chemicals, vacuums, brooms, and mops according to sanitation guidelines and safety regulations.
  • Maintain and clean all common area fixtures such as lighting, art, chairs, benches, tables, and bars.
  • Work outside in various weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Walk and stand throughout the shift.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.?
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 1 year of general cleaning experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a lead or related role, preferably in hospitality or housekeeping/public area management, demonstrating strong leadership skills to train, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to ensure efficient operations and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with high standards for cleanliness and safety, including knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Effective communication skills to interact professionally with team members and guests.
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Passion for cleanliness and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt and adhere to process changes.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Must be able to independently push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.?
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and/or stand for extended periods of time for the duration of the shift.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to commute between office and venue(s).
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.?
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold.
