Description

We are seeking a dedicated LMSW Social Worker to join our team in a high school setting, providing specialized support to students aged 16-17 on the autism spectrum. This is a part-time, temp-to-perm position offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on older students navigating their academic and personal development.

Key Details:

  • Population: Students with autism, ages 16-17
  • Hours: 16 hours per week
    • Schedule: Flexible; 4 half days or 2 full days
  • Location:
    • Easily accessible with free parking
  • Type: Temporary-to-permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling tailored to the unique needs of high school students on the autism spectrum.
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans and coping strategies to support emotional and social growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
  • Offer crisis intervention and maintain appropriate documentation of services provided.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential required.
  • Experience working with the autism population, particularly older children or adolescents.
