The Media Analytics Department at San Jose, California, is seeking the next generation of thought leaders in computer vision and machine learning for research internships in Summer 2025. Our interns work closely with the research team to explore creative directions with a potential for high impact in industry and the broader community.
Outstanding applicants pursuing a PhD in all areas of computer vision are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to the following:
• Vision and language: foundational models and LLM agents
• Autonomous driving: 2D and 3D perception, planning and simulation
• Visual synthesis: neural rendering and generative models
Intern projects at NEC Labs result in student-led papers published at top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV or NeurIPS. Recent examples of our intern projects include:
• CVPR 2024: LidaRF: Lidar Neural Radiance Fields on Street Scenes
• CVPR 2024: AIDE: Automatic Data Engine for Object Detection in Autonomous Driving
• CVPR 2024: Self-Training LLMs for Visual Program Synthesis with Visual Reinforcement
• CVPR 2024: Taming Self-Training for Open-Vocabulary Object Detection
• CVPR 2024: Generating Enhanced Negatives for Language-Based Object Detectors
• ECCV 2024: SAFE-SIM: Safety-Critical Simulation with Diffusion-Controlled Adversaries
If you are as thrilled as us about advances in computer vision, join us for a fun-filled Summer 2024! To check out our latest work, please visit: https://www.nec-labs.com/media-analytics/
