Responsible for overall Sterling Bank & Trust brand positioning, development and management. Plans and coordinates the marketing of the bank's products and/or services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates and outside resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with management to establish marketing goals for each business line to realize targeted market share and profitability of products and/or services. Identifies and creates new products to serve target markets, generate market share growth and to assure SBT's product offerings are competitive. Develops and executes short-range and long-range marketing plans and programs to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized. Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
Evaluates market reactions to promotional programs to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy, plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions, and prepares marketing activity reports and analyses tracking effectiveness of programs.
Plans and oversees the organization's advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail. Manages outside agencies and oversees copywriting, design, and production of promotional materials. Coordinates media contracts and ad buys.
Develops and recommends pricing strategy for the organization which will result in achieving the market share growth and profitability goals over the long run. Responds to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy, ensures effective control of marketing results and initiates corrective action to achieve marketing objectives within approved budgets.
Manages internal and external communications programs such as newsletters, special announcements, press releases, executive appointments, etc.
Manages strategic use and execution of social media channels and supports bank web site enhancements.
