Share Email Opening Title Assistant Chief Water and Wastewater Operator  Description POSITION SUMMARY: Our water and wastewater department is seeking an individual to perform a variety of tasks to operate and maintain our system. This is a full-time year-round position with competitive compensation and benefits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plant Operation and maintenance of drinking water system Operation and maintenance of underground fuel storage system     Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS: Ability to obtain a Vermont state Class 3 Water Systems Operator’s license Ability to obtain a Vermont state Grade 3 Wastewater Operator’s license Ability to obtain an underground Fuel Storage A, B, C Operator License Experience with data entry (word/excel) Ability to lift 20lbs Ability to work independently Ability to problem solve Ability to repair water and sewer lines Ability to repair pumps and blowers Ability to respond to the facility for on call rotations EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers license Operator licenses Preferred TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver’s license and transportation to and from the job site. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, mail machines, and fax machines as well as treatment facility equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is largely an active role working both indoors and outdoors, in and out of vehicles. Movement and work around the entire resort is essential in this position. Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs.
