Title / Position: Repair Technician

Position type: Seasonal, Full time & Part time; Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Rentals Manager

Customer service and safety are top priorities at Bromley and our Repair Technicians are instrumental to both. Working directly with our guests, Repair Technicians provide the expertise and recommendations of how to adjust and repair snowsports equipment.

Summary: Primary role is to interact with guests; repairing ski and snowboard equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean & hazard free work area
  • Advises equipment owner of work needed
  • Does work specified by customer
  • Assists customer in filling out work order
  • Collects money for repairs, handles receipts and deposits
  • Maintains record keeping
  • May fill in at rental area
  • Must be able to open and close ski bindings
  • Must be able to feed skis into stone grinder
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Prior ski repair experience
  • Must have superior customer service skills
  • Must be a certified repair technician (certification available)
  • Must be able to project the image established by company
  • Punctual and prepared to perform work duties on time
  • Must maintain personal appearance in accordance with Bromley standards
  • Maintain a caring and sensitive attitude towards guest

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in a professional rental shop environment. Occasional work outdoors (any time of year) is likely throughout the base of operations.

Physical Demands:

This is an active role working indoors moving snowsports equipment and using ski and snowboard tuning and repair equipment for extended periods; however, some movement and work outdoors (safely crossing ice and snow) around the entire resort may be necessary. Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
