SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Event Manager, the Magical Forest Associate (Associate) is responsible for performing various duties in an amusement park and retail-type environment. The incumbent may operate amusement concessions, rides, and perform general duties involving physically handling products, materials, supplies, and equipment. The Associate is also responsible for training and assisting nightly volunteers with their assigned park operations duties. There are evening hours and weekend responsibilities with this position that may require extended hours.

There are evening hours and weekend responsibilities with this position that may require extended hours. This is a seasonal position from September 2024 to January 2025 utilized to support the Magical Forest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide information about park attractions, facilities, rides, entertainment options, and rules and regulations of the Magical Forest to both guests and volunteers.
Train and assist box office team members with the procedures to sell entry tickets and train volunteers to properly verify, collect, or validate tickets or informational flyers to guests before admission to the Magical Forest.
Train volunteers operating kiosks or concession booths in cash register operation, selling merchandise, facilitating games, awarding prizes, and photographing patrons.
Provide guests and volunteers with information and assistance regarding the safe entry and exit of rides, as well as the mounting and dismounting of carousel animals.
Be knowledgeable of park emergency evacuation and ride shutdown procedures and assist with these procedures if the situation arises.
Assist with the sale or serving of food or refreshments to customers, as needed.
Clean equipment, rides, booths, and concessions areas.
Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety and sanitation requirements.
Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
May be assigned other duties as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not directly supervise OV team members but may support overseeing volunteers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required: One (1) verifiable work experience in an amusement/theme park, retail, or related work environment.
Preferred: Prior experience with developmentally disabled individuals.

Ability to work on ladders and be comfortable with heights of 20 - 25 feet.
Ability to work on scissor and basket lifts and other such related equipment
Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
