Irrigation, Lighting, Special Services Technician
Job Summary
This full-time and year-round position in the company is designed to maintain, always repair and adjust our clients' sprinkler and lighting systems to keep them operating efficiently and properly. You will also be asked to perform specialty services like warranty plantings, drainage system maintenance and unique repairs on our properties. Present sales opportunities to clients for system operation efficiency and results for lawn & gardens.

Other Items you may experience during the year:
1. Smaller warranty planting jobs will be scheduled for you to complete year-round as needed.
2. You may be directed to help or run a crew when other teams need help.
3. Make damage repairs to properties or specialty repairs for our clients, like gates, drainage systems.
4. You may get dispatched to clean gutters or pressure wash a part of a property.
5. You will review and record the sprinkler and lighting inventory each week.
Essential Job Tasks
• Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained.
• Establish and enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance and personnel safety.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Direct activities of workers who perform duties, such as landscaping, cultivating lawns, or pruning trees and shrubs.
• Utilize software to record data, time, and job status.
• Confer with supervisors or managers to coordinate work activities.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. See more occupations related to this task.
• Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
• Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
• Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
• Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.
• Mow or edge lawns, using power mower or edger.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Decorate gardens with stones or plants.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
• Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
• Install drainage systems, retaining walls, planters, patios, or driveways.
• Gather and remove debris or litter from lawns.
• Haul or spread topsoil or compost.

Job Context

Pay $26-$34/hour based on experience plus commission
