This position plans, directs, and/or coordinates on site: personnel and resources required to meet the daily mission requirements of Transportation -- passenger and cargo movement, Small Air Terminal and passenger movement, Surface freight, Special cargo, Packing and Preservation, and Vehicle Operations and Maintenance for Wright Patterson base customers. In this capacity, the Program Manager formulates and enforces company and DoD policies while ensuring safety, environmental and contract compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees activities directly related to contractual requirements for government contracts.
- Directs and coordinates activities of the departments to meet the requirements of the government contracts.
- Review performance data to measure productivity, goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Direct and coordinate organization's budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
- Implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with the Senior Vice President and other staff members as necessary.
- Coordinate with Senior Vice President all staffing requirements. Interview, hire, and train new employees or oversee those personnel processes.
- Coordinate with the Senior Vice President to ensure that the contract site is efficiently and effectively providing required services while staying within budgetary limits.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities with department heads as required.
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum two (2) year degree or related DoD or civilian equivalent experience.
Experience: Six (6) years' experience managing an Air Force Deployment/Distribution and Vehicle Management or Logistics Support unit with two (2) years as a Project Manager.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, knowledge of Air Force MICT process, word processing, spreadsheets
Certifications & Licenses: DoD or civilian equivalent Quality Control and Safety Training. AFSO 21 training.
