Senior Information Assurance Specialist

Category Information Technology  
• Support all command computer network defense actions; researches policies, technical matters, event logs, and trouble tickets to recommend policy, procedure and immediate fixes.
• Support Weapons System Certification and Accreditation; attain and maintain Authority to Operate.
• Prepare and present briefings.
• Support network monitoring and Certification and Accreditation.
• Lead IA team actions for protection against the Insider Threat.
• Participate in security assistance visits to subordinate elements.
• Develop security architectures, security programs, policies, risk assessments, security assessments, support identity management and credentialing.
• Support on-call after duty hours.
Minimum Requirements:

• Skilled in Information Assurance: risk assessment; computer network defense; weapon system C&A; DIACAP; NIACAP; DoD Vulnerability Management System; SIPRNet; NIPRNet.
• Advanced knowledge of networks, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, anti-virus and firewall devices/software, and network and mobile devices.
• Writes, speaks and briefs clearly and professionally.
• Works well in teams and alone.
• Served as IA Specialist or similar title for a multi-site network of major command or defense agency.
• Secret Clearance

2 years of experience above 8 years technical experience may be substituted.

Total years management experience, if applicable:

• CAP and network, firewall or intrusion detection/certification formal training
• Space &C3I Weapons System C&A /ATO experience
