About the Role:
The Learning Pavilion, a non-profit preschool dedicated to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for children, is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our financial operations. With over 30 years of serving families, we’re proud to offer exceptional early childhood education, and we need your skills to help maintain our financial accuracy and efficiency. Under the supervision of the Senior Director, you will handle essential bookkeeping tasks such as posting cash receipts, verifying records, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.Key Respo
Billing & Payments: Review and ensure:accuracy of billing, assist in processing payments for general expenditures.
Record Maintenance: Sort and file financial documents, manage external accounts, and input data for accounts receivable/payable into the general ledger.
Reconciliation: Assist with monthly reconciliation of bank statements, working closely with the Senior Director and CFO.
Vendor Relations: Maintain accounts with vendors, issue checks, and secure necessary signatures.
Financial Reporting: Support the Director and CFO during the annual financial audit and track in-kind and monetary donations.
Tuition & Contracts: Record tuition payments, reconcile ELC statements, and manage contract reimbursements.
Administrative Support: Ensure visitors sign in, manage phone systems, and maintain a professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required), AA degree (preferred).
Minimum of two years of bookkeeping or related experience.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
