As the Public Area Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for providing essential support to the Public Area Manager in overseeing the cleanliness, and the overall appearance of all public areas within AREA15. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, a high standard of excellence, safety, and guest satisfaction. With strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional environment, you’ll help maintain the venue, supporting buildings, and event spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for both guests and team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist the Public Area Manager and department with daily tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and maintaining organized department files, records, and documents.
  • Monitor and respond to public service area functions including but not limited to cleanliness, and trash management.
  • Complete daily check list for all public areas.
  • Assist in maintaining projects, including organizing and distributing project-related documents and information, and ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate project-related information between various departments and vendors, supporting the department in managing project timelines, tracking progress, and updating project databases.
  • Assist with the daily public areas operations and cleanliness of AREA15, including event spaces, public areas, and supporting buildings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and facilitate communication, partnering with departments to ensure a consistent, safe, and secure environment for employees, vendors, and guests.
  • Assist with Quality Assurance to ensure cleanliness during events. Manage and maintain all equipment, ensuring safety compliance and timely service.
  • Assist the department manager in developing and entering cost forecasts.
  • Assist with and complete administrative tasks related to the public areas department.
  • Assist the department manager in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating team members across the public areas department, ensuring proper scheduling and staffing, including additional support for events.
  • Assist with regular team meetings to set goals, address issues, and promote engagement.
  • Assist with implementing department training programs and SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency in the department.
  • Provide coaching and disciplinary actions for team members as necessary.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards)?at all times.?
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Bilingual Spanish required 
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in one of the following: housekeeping, or environmental services.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an assistant manager in a similar role, preferably in environmental services, housekeeping, or commercial property.
  • Knowledge of Housekeeping/Environmental services procedures is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing, cultivating, and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • Proficient in following SOPs to ensure consistency within the department.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to solve conflicts and negotiate effectively, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lead, energize, motivate, organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of skilled personnel.
  • Ability to commute between office and venue(s).
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
  • Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat, and sun exposure
