Our development team is searching for our new Donor Services Officer. Using strategic thinking, relationship-building, you will develop and implement strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. You will accomplish this by:
- Creating compelling solicitation materials, including fundraising appeals, case statements, and donor proposals,
- Identifying and researching prospective supporters who align with the Agency’s mission and values,
- Staffing volunteer-based planning committees that support Agency special events, and
- Nurture relationships with existing donors to deepen their engagement and commitment to the organization.
We (Westmoreland Community Action) are a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing, counseling, support, education, intervention, collaborations, partnerships, information, referrals, and networking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in individual fundraising, donor relations, or sales with a record of accomplishment of successfully soliciting and securing gifts.
- Must be able to obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background check, and sex offender registry clearances.
- Valid driver's license required and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability car insurance.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft suite and donor management software.

Hourly rate depending on experience: $24.31 – $26.60. This position is non-exempt.
