Located in the heart of Wenatchee Valley, Okanogan Valley and Grant County, sits LifeLine Ambulance-one of Washington State’s only remaining Primary 911 Response Companies.

To the right EMT, LifeLine Ambulance is offering a Full-Time position in our Primary 911 Response System. Here, you will be able to practice and challenge your skills as an EMT.

In each of our locations our employees will be offered many opportunities for outdoor recreational activities during all seasons due to a schedule that allows for optimal work-life balance. Some of these activities include rock climbing, biking, and hiking as well as paddle boarding, kayaking, skiing, and snowboarding. Our employees enjoy a generous two days on six days off working schedule, flexible scheduling, and a mix of Primary 911 calls between multiple locations. While at work, our employees are provided with state-of-the-art medical equipment, first-class stations, and the opportunity to cross-train for Wildland Fire Medical Response.

Compensation: $16.50-$19.00/hour- IV-Tech & AEMT certifications will be considered for a higher starting wage scale within the posted range.

EMT-Job Description

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and company information.
  • Reports verbally and in writing/electronically, their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics.
  • Constantly assesses the patient en-route to the medical facility, administers additional care as indicated or directed by medical control.
  • Data-link all tough books at the beginning of each shift daily.
  • Functions within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies.
  • Renders emergency medical and/or trauma care to adults, children and infants based on assessment findings.
  • Attends emergency and non-emergency medical requests as they arise, renders on-site assistance to patients as required.
  • Performs or assists in the initial assessment and management of illness or injury to emergency patients in accordance with specified protocol and procedures.
  • Inspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.
  • Complete patient care reports completely and thoroughly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of and skill in the application of basic on-site emergency medical protocol and procedures.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Ability to pass Washington State drivers check and pass a drug urinalysis.
  • Methods and techniques of emergency medical response and ambulance transport.
  • Operational characteristic of emergency medical transport equipment.
  • Appropriate diagnosis, medical treatment, and evacuation procedures and techniques.
  • Basic principles of emergency medical service provision, first aid, life support and medical and ambulance transport.
  • Work assigned shifts including during weekends and holidays and occasionally work past the end of shift.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical apparatus and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Incident Management Systems.
  • Skill in performing basic life support procedures in accordance with medical protocols.

Education/Experience:

-High school graduate or GED

-EMT-B experience preferred but not required

-Ability to interpret local EMT-B protocols, company policies and procedures, and apply them in specific situations

Licenses/Certifications:

-Active Washington State EMT-B certification

-Current on OTEP/Continuing education

-Current AHA healthcare provider CPR

-Maintain/Possess current Washington State driver’s license

-Current Hep B vaccination
