Manager of Supportive Housing 

Description

Purpose:

The purpose of the Manager of Supportive Housing is to provide supervision of case managers on the supportive housing team. The team provides services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) who are provided intensive case management services in their housing environments. The goal of the Supportive Housing team is to support people who have severe behavioral health needs and a history of housing instability be successful and independent in the community.

Accountabilities:

Provides active supervision of the supportive housing team

Oversees the provision of case management served by the treatment team.

Oversees the clinical interventions provided by the treatment team.

Assures timely documentation of services conducted by team

Assures standards for productivity and quality are met

Leads daily continuous treatment team meetings to assign tasks and work with team to ensure needs of consumers served are met

Coordinates with internal providers and community agencies and assures appropriate follow through of services for consumers

Conducts weekly group and individual supervision as needed

Models strengths and recovery based services in the field with case managers

Participates in departmental meetings and other meetings associated with supportive housing and case management services

Responsible for ongoing implementation of Evidence-Based Practices on the team, including use of stage-wise interventions, motivational interviewing, and assertive outreach.

Provides Crisis Intervention to clients on the Supportive Housing team and at Frank Williams Outreach Center when needed.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

· Master degree in a social services or related field and be licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board required.

· Familiar with treatment approaches and needs of adults with SPMI and substance use.

· Experience working with people experiencing homelessness.

· Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

· Ability to establish effective working relationships with Center staff and community agencies.

· Ability to provide direction for programming and planning purposes.

· Ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences.

· Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
