Description Essential Duties
-Identify IA knowledge, skill and certification requirements for engineering directorate staff in their roles for design, acquisition, test, certification and accreditation, sustainment and program management roles.
-Acquire, create, and/or customize course content, training aids and educational media to train the trainer or train and certify the student in the required IA knowledge, skill and certification.
-Determine most appropriate training methodology for audience based on mission need, immediacy and cost. Recommend methodology for Government approval.
-Train students using approved methodology.
-Deliver continuous improvement through student evaluations, lessons learned and best practices. Remain an expert in creation, customization, and delivery of training material for DoD 8570 certification courses.
-Plan, develop, and implement a Directorate Information Assurance program. Serve as subject matter expert.
-Support network and Weapon System Certification and Accreditation under DIACAP and AFCAP
-Continuously revise training material to meet regulatory requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
-Develop security architectures, security programs, policies, risk assessment, security assessment, support identity management and credentialing.
-Support on-call after duty hours.
 

Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum Requirements:
-Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver IA training to engineers, managers and adult IT professionals.
-CISSP
-Skilled in Information Assurance: risk assessment, computer network defense, DIACAP, AFCAP, DoD Vulnerability Management System, SIPRNet, NIPRNet, and JWICS.
-Advanced knowledge of networks, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, anti-virus and firewall devices/software, and network and mobile devices.
-Extensive knowledge of defeating cyber threats against networked weapons systems.
-Works well in teams and alone.
-Served as IA Specialist or similar title for multi-site network of major command or defense agency.
-Knows DOD, JCS and USAF IA and weapon system directives
-Secret Clearance

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline is required; A master's degree is preferred. CISSP and training in network operating systems, networked weapon systems are required. A CompTIA CTT+ certification and/or other IT training certifications is highly desired.

12-16 Years of Experience

2 years of experience for 1 year of college;
Total years technical experience:
10-12 Years of Experience
Total years management experience, if applicable:
N/A

Preferred
Qualifications:
-Served at least two (2) years as a training instructor for Information Assurance Certification courses
-Experience with IA for USAF networked weapon systems.
