Job Summary
Primarily responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordinating and repair of the production equipment, machinery and plant infrastructure, in a high-volume production environment. Additional responsibilities include incorporation of practices and analytics which improve safety and reliability.
Job Responsibilities
Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Ensure all local, state, and federal regulations concerning safety and environmental measures are followed during maintenance activity and maintained for all production and plant equipment.
Using machine equipment and hand tools to complete tasks
Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
Maintain safe and orderly work areas
Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
Track and update assigned tasks in Maintenance tracking program
Diagnose equipment failures, find root cause, and lead corrective actions
Other duties as assigned
Education / Skills
High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
3-5 years working experience in manufacturing environment
Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems
Ability to work independently and think outside of the box to solve problems
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Familiarity with CNC lathes, Mills, screw machines, and automated assembly equipment
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Well-rounded team player with positive attitude
Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds and frequently carries up to 60 pounds.
Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment and machinery on a regular and continuous basis.
Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending
