Maintenance Technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in both the Packaging and Refinery Departments.

Maintenance Technicians must possess mechanical skills, including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment in accordance with established GMP and safety procedures.

Other responsibilities include providing emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service; calling for back up and coordinating repairs with other mechanics; installing, repairing, overhauling, modifing and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery; performing required routine preventive maintenance and repairing activities when not working on breakdowns; and diagnosing and repairing or replacing faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the plant.

Position Requirements

Associates degree from college or technical school or 5 years of relevant work experience.

Able to follow blueprints and other technical instructions .  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exist. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and  schedule form. Able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.  Working knowledge of electronic and electrical concepts and operating safety.  Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical, electronic, and mechanical trades.
