The primary role of the account manager is to provide program management and serve as the key day to day contact for client and agency partners.

  • Establish a deep understanding of the client’s business and competitive environment.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of agency, promotions, shopper, event and advertising processes.
  • Begin to own presentations, POVs, budgets and creative briefs.
  • Lead account team in coordinating and producing special projects for clients.

Manage all basic program execution with minimal involvement from immediate manager:

  • With team support, ensure creative product delivers against approved creative brief.
  • Manage all executional aspects of creative development.
  • Manage production budget against estimate.
  • Manage timetables and workflow.
  • Train/mentor junior team members in project management.

Exhibit strong verbal and written business communication as well as presentation skills:

  • Lead internal meetings and select client-facing meetings.
  • Seek opportunities to present internally/externally.
  • Craft clear and concise written correspondence internally/externally.
  • Responsible for providing presentation support in the form of content creation and presentation development. 
  • Author full competitive analysis.
  • Develop POV.

Begin to refine strategic skill set in an effort to assist in the ongoing strategic development of clients’ businesses:

  • Exposure to and assist in the collaboration of the strategic development process, such as attending qualitative focus groups and assessing quantitative market research reports.
  • Partner with planning and creative to author creative briefs.

Develop and exhibit problem-solving abilities and provide solid, efficient solutions:

  • Anticipate potential problems and barriers.
  • Identify key elements of a problem and offer creative solutions.
  • Actively seek out internal agency resources to solve possible roadblocks.  
Position Requirements
  • 4+ years of client services experience, MUST have promotional background
  • Consumer/shopper or retail promotions experience a MUST
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications
  • Proficient in promotion management and logistics including rules and regulations
  • Proficient with social/mobile media
  • Event activation experience
  • Familiarity with examining/synthesizing research and applying it to projects 
  • Experience with the creative process
  • Comfortable with creating presentations and delivering a presentation
  • Solid organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
