Position Objective: To act as first point of contact to visitors to PETA's office and assist with administrative tasks
Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to members of the public calling PETA • Greet visitors to PETA's office with sincere enthusiasm and a desire to help • Perform various administrative tasks • Assist with preparing for and organizing PETA and PETA Foundation staff functions • Oversee the PETA and PETA Foundation lunch program • Liaise with the intern program manager to coordinate PETA's intern and volunteer program • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
• Minimum of two years of administrative or reception experience • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns • Proven computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office software • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Proven ability to work well under pressure • Demonstrated ability to deal with PETA members and the public in a professional and courteous manner • Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle • Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
