Counter Inside Sales/ Electrical - Louisville, KY
Wiseway is seeking a highly motivated Counter Inside Sales Associate to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our branch operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to customers in person and over the phone. This position requires work in the warehouse; picking/packing of products or orders received, loading and unloading of deliveries. You may also assist in delivering products to customers, being the face of Wiseway Supply.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers at the counter, providing product information, pricing, and availability.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area and warehouse, including restocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, resolving issues to the best of your ability; notify the order creator of any inventory or delivery delays or problems
- Stay updated on industry trends and product developments to serve customers better and provide relevant recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service and fostering a positive experience.
- Make sure will-calls are staged within one hour.
- Ensure all products are stocked in designated locations
- Ensure order picking accuracy measures 100% by double checking all orders.
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures. Always operating with a safety-first standard.
- Perform all assigned duties safely and efficiently adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in electrical systems or related fields is required.
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, in the electrical or wholesale industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale systems or similar software.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Undergo pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screen
- Electrical experience required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a customer service/sales environment.
- Knowledge of residential, construction and commercial electrical, plumbing and lighting products is a plus.
- Experience with inventory management systems or related software.
Essential Functions:
- Valid driver’s license and verified safe driving record
- Work in a warehouse setting; some outdoor exposure during the workday; temperature is not controlled
- Required to stand and walk for long periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull pallet jack or cart weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Able to perform repetitive motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing, including the motion of placing and removing the product from shelves, stabilizing on the mode of delivery, or carrying by hand.
- Ability to perform light driving/delivery duties via company truck; perform repeated motions of bending, squatting, stooping, and standing; including motion of getting in and out of the truck from the driver seat, removing the product from the truck, stabilizing on the mode of delivery via two-wheel dolly or carrying by hand.
- The ability to safely operate a Forklift is a plus
