SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Events Manager – Food, the Food Service Worker will perform a variety of semi-skilled kitchen and quick-dining related duties as assigned in compliance with the policies and procedures of the State of Nevada Health Department and Opportunity Village.

There are evening hours and weekend responsibilities with this position that may require extended hours. This seasonal position, October 2024 – January 2025, is utilized to support the Magical Forest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide food service during Opportunity Village events, i.e., food prep, food service, food delivery, set up and cleanup of food service areas, dishwashing, etc.
Restock, replenish and update inventories as appropriate for short-order areas and fry stations.
Follow recipe guidelines and specifications.
Follow all policies and procedures according to the Health Code.
Ensures sanitation and cleanliness meets Health Department standards.
Support the other Event's team members in setting up and breaking down room and event areas, which could include chairs and tables.
Provide good customer service to patrons.
Reports any safety and security concerns to the Security Team.
Reports any broken items to the Facilities Team through an electronic system (FMX).
Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
May be assigned other duties as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not directly supervise OV team members but may support overseeing volunteers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of verifiable work experience in the Food Service industry.
Required: A Southern Nevada Health Card.
Required: One (1) year experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
