Job Description
Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve as the Marketing Coordinator for the National Guard Connectedness and Relationship Education System.
NG CARES is an integrated, comprehensive, person-centered (eco)system which builds connections, increases protective factors, and promotes holistic health in support of Service Members and their Families throughout their career. These programs are critical to retention, readiness, and reduction of risky behaviors and emplacing protective environments in support of primary prevention strategies.
Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):
Develop and implement a National Communication Strategy including branding and messaging for the system.
Establish and maintain program information on social media sites; posted within established timeframe.
Provide input on the marketing strategies. Analyze market segments to place resources in best possible locations. Strategies that will increase the overall visibility of all social networking pages.
Prepare marketing and outreach plan reports, graphs, charts; manage databases, reports and maintain records depicting current and future planning goals/objectives.
Aid in developing key indicators for monitoring marketing goals. Implement a process that effectively and efficiently tracks and reports the status of the key indicators and that measure progress toward the established goals.
Create, develop, and employ custom graphic design elements to be used on social media accounts, websites and any other materials.
Develop and build partnerships with states, various media organizations and centers of influence to maximize advertising and marketing efforts.
Attend conferences and seminars that facilitate communication flow and support personal/professional development requirements.
Develop and expand Social Media Outreach and Marketing including developing a NG CARES website. Note: Contractor will develop an Army 365 SharePoint page along with a page on the J1 external-facing website.
Skills / Certifications / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, etc.) preferred.
1-2 years experience required, (3-5 years preferred) in communications, marketing, public engagement, or other relevant fields, preferably government or military sectors. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Experience using, managing, and creating content for social media channels, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Design experience, including the creation of digital and social media content and print materials; Canva and/or Adobe Suite experience preferred.
Experience in video editing.
Working knowledge of general technology applications, social media platforms, and mobile applications. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and to change priorities.
Ability to respectfully and effectively work with a diverse range of people.
Ability to continually learn and adapt as job requirements change and new opportunities arise.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to think strategically and develop and implement ideas.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Travel is anticipated with this position possibly once or twice a quarter for up to four (4) days at a time.
Meet timelines for administrative tasks, activities, and events.
Collect, assimilate, and showcase data to objectively support lines of effort and resource funding.
Maintain accurate data files and records to enable management to track the program’s progress/status.
Create/coordinate online registration for events that require registration. Online registration will be completed utilizing Army 365 and Microsoft Forms.
Attend all meetings, present trainings and reports as needed.
Coordinate with internal/external networks to obtain resources for events, manuals, supplies and materials.
Provide monthly documents and reports that are accurate and meet the suspense of the 1st of each month 98% of the time.
Due to the nature of the service, experience with the military is required. Experience can be gained through prior or current military service, member of a military family, or service as a military family volunteer.
Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle that can be utilized.
Work may vary. An uncommon tour of duty may be required. Flexibility with working schedule is mandatory because it impacts the ability to support and serve military.
Travel is anticipated for training. Travel will include regional and national to support mobile training team events.
Contractor employees will be reimbursed mileage according to (JTR).
