POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Experience Mentor (SEM) at Moravian University is a pivotal role that blends the art of sales with student support to drive enrollment and retention in our graduate programs. The SEM is responsible for managing the prospective student funnel, ensuring that every individual receives exceptional guidance and support throughout their journey with Moravian. This role requires a self-motivated, organized professional who excels in a dynamic, results-driven environment and can work independently to achieve enrollment goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Recruitment:
- Manage the entire sales funnel for all inquiries and applicants, guiding them toward enrollment.
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective students, highlighting the benefits of Moravian's graduate programs.
- Respond to new inquiries within one business day, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Engage with prospective students both in-person and virtually to discuss the advantages of Moravian's graduate and continuing education programs, moving inquiries to the application stage.
- Consistently follow up with inquiries and applicants who have not responded to outreach efforts.
- Represent Moravian University at fairs and conferences, showcasing programs with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with marketing and program directors to develop compelling admissions materials and ensure program websites are up-to-date and compliant.
Student Enrollment and Support:
- Guide potential students through the application process, providing clear instructions on requirements and deadlines.
- Enroll new students in their first-semester courses and assist with registration for subsequent semesters.
- Support students in completing their registration, making sure tuition payments are up to date and accounts are clear of any holds
- Assist new students in setting up and accessing their network credentials.
- Serve as a resource for students, maintaining regular communication and connecting them with necessary services.
Student Experience:
- Foster a positive student experience from the initial inquiry stage, maintaining a student-centric approach in all interactions.
- Provide clear and consistent communication, promptly addressing any student concerns or issues.
- Work closely with program directors to support student success through proactive outreach and effective problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS: A baccalaureate degree, master's preferred, in an appropriate field. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to thrive in a fast and changing work environment, have excellent collaboration skills, and a proven ability to work as a member of a team. Experience working with integrated technology systems and tools is a plus. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary to respond to a variety of people. Successful candidate should be a team player who can work individually with students, have a commitment to customer service and have the ability to be a trusted ambassador of the One Enrollment Division mission and goals. Requires an ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends in order to best accommodate student needs. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule.
