Position Description: Social Media Strategist
Summary
The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing, executing, and managing a strategic social media outreach campaign to support the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP). This includes designing social media content, coordinating with federal guidelines, and supporting awareness initiatives for HIV/AIDS programs. The strategist will ensure all content is 508 compliant and aligned with HRSA's mission and communication standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic social media outreach campaign for RWHAP, supporting awareness, storytelling, technical assistance, and data dissemination.
- Create and deliver monthly social media plans and six graphics monthly, incorporating infographics and video elements for HRSA's social media platforms.
- Develop three social media toolkits annually to promote RWHAP and HIV/AIDS awareness days.
- Ensure all social media activities comply with HHS guidelines and are accessible as per Section 508 standards.
- Provide strategic content and collaborate with HRSA's Office of Communications for earned media outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media strategy and campaign development.
- Knowledge of federal guidelines for social media and accessibility standards.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
