DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE), is responsible for supporting the overall direction and management of the addiction recovery division of programs (youth and adult) in accordance with agency, funding sources and licensing standards and expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive, is responsible for the direction and management of assigned substance use (SUD) programming for youth and adults. Acts as the primary point of contact and clinical oversite of all SUD related programs.

  • Administration of managerial, operational, fiscal and reporting components of assigned agency services.
  • Budget – Maintain revenue and expenses within assigned budgets.
  • Level of Service – Maintain or exceed formally established level of service commitments, census requirements and productivity benchmarks needed to meet budget projections in assigned programs.
  • Quality Improvement – Implement ongoing quality improvement measures to identify areas that require improvements and ensure that quality standards are achieved and maintained, including but not limited to: Develop, implement and enforce policies for consumer (patient) rights; Participation in Quality assurance for consumer (patient) care and staff performance evaluation.
  • Outcomes – Establish and achieve outcome targets that represent industry standards, contractual/budgetary commitments and agency expectations.
  • Human Resources – Provide overall administrative and clinical supervision to staff, including clinical supervision to staff, both within and outside of clinical services, seeking clinical supervision towards licensure, implement a cultural of learning and professional development and maintain staffing levels within budget to achieve program goals. Ensure staff orientation and training.
  • Program Business Development - Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance or expand existing services to improve service delivery and meet emerging needs. Responsible for liaison relationships and communication with facility staff, support services, community resources and consumers (clients). Applying for new grant opportunities. 
  • Engage in direct clinical work, as needed, within Addiction Recovery Services and IBHS.
  • Other duties as assigned by CNE or Designee.

OTHER DUTIES:  Other duties as assigned by the Chief Nurse Executive.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:  Knowledge and experience in implementation of evidence based and best practices in recovery-oriented environment in mental health and substance abuse.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:   Program Director(s) and Supervisors of assigned clinical and substance abuse programs

 

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services field from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of experience in programs serving adults with mental illness and substance abuse.
  • Three years in administrative and supervisory positions that included responsibility for hiring, budgeting, contractual relations and program development.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:   Health screenings and fingerprinting, as per DAS regulations.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:  

  • Licensed to independently practice in the State of New Jersey.
  • Clinical NJ Licensure in good standing.
  • Dual Licensure required - LPC/LCADC or LCSW/LCADC.
  • Supervisory certification strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
 
Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt  
Weekly Work Hours 40 hours  
Proposed Salary $105,000/annually  
Schedule Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
