Description

George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a part-time Student Activities Assistant.

The Student Activities Assistant manages and executes student activities and events during weekends, ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of various recreational and extracurricular programs. This position is responsible for overseeing these events and programs and effectively communicating between students and faculty. This position must be available to work Friday and Saturday afternoons/evenings and occasionally Sunday afternoons.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Recreation Management, Student Affairs, or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in program coordination or youth leadership roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Flexibility in working hours, as regular Friday and Saturday evening and occasional Sunday responsibilities may be required to support special events or student needs.
  • Experience leading kayaking, bicycling, hiking and various outdoor activities.
  • Ability to set up technology and supervise outdoor movies, audio for dances and other community activities like karaoke and open mic nights.
