SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Vice President of Philanthopy, the Corporate Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize the impact of our philanthropic initiatives. This position will identify philanthropic opportunities aligned with Opportunity Village's values and goals, and manage charitable partnerships. As a leader in corporate social responsibility, you will represent our company in relevant forums, promote our philanthropic initiatives externally, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance our contribution to society while demonstrating ethical and responsible stewardship of resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Researches sponsorship opportunities, creates proposals, and delivers presentations to identify and attract sponsorships and drive revenue.
  2. Develops and maintains corporate relationships through sponsorships, and oversees all facets of fulfillment for sponsorships.
  3. Partners with Events, Marketing and Community Engagement teams to identify opportunities to maximize the revenue potential of key community leaders and corporate sponsors.
  4. Responsible for the development of long-term sponsorship/revenue growth strategies for the Magical Forest.
  5. Expand sponsorships for all OV fundraising events, including but not limited to HallOVeen, Magical Forest, Camelot, Great Santa Run and A Runway Affair.
  6. Ensure that stewardship and reporting requirements are met to sustain successful partnerships.
  7. Account for annual revenue objectives.
  8. Work collaboratively with and in support of other resource development staff, and other OV representatives to garner donors for the organizations priorities
  9. Establish and foster relations with internal partners, external resources, sponsors, suppliers, distributors, industry organizations and service providers using effective negotiation, communication and relationship building skills to explore business opportunities and improve financial performance.
  10. Through mail, telephone and personal visits, confirm annual sponsors, steward large sponsors, and identify new prospects which include attendees, sponsors, and in-kind contributors.
  11. Identify and participate in special networking events to develop new relationships and raise awareness of Opportunity Village and our mission.
  12. Support the comprehensive fundraising campaigns to also include; endowment, events, legacy giving, the capital campaign and other fundraising related tasks as needed.
  13. Use Donor Perfect software to track, engage and report on all prospects with weekly outreach and solicitation goals.
  14. Some travel to a variety of locations in the Las Vegas area.
  15. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
  16. May be assigned other duties as needed

This position does not directly supervise others.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, donors, Board Members, and guests.

  • Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and to set and adhere to deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and social perceptiveness to respond in a calm, kind and professional manner to common inquiries..
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge, and have initiative.
  • Be organized and detail oriented with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve multiple complex issues simultaneously while remaining calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, team members, and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, social sciences)
  • Required: Minimum of five (5) years in a fundraising role.
  • Experience working with high-level decision makers, trustees, and other stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience with Donor Perfect or other donor database software.
  • Preferred:Knowledge of local market a plus
  • Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
  • Ability to travel locally.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required.
