Starting Pay: $18.4733 Hourly ($38,424)
After 1st Year: $20.2891 Hourly ($42,201)

After 4th Year: $24.5841 Hourly ($51,135)
After 5th Year: $25.2496 Hourly ($52,519)
After 6th Year: $25.8921 Hourly ($53,856)
After 7th Year: $26.5856 Hourly ($55,298)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) years’ experience overseeing inventory management for employees -AND- two (2) years’ bookkeeping.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs difficult and responsible clerical tasks for county-wide IT related purchasing and inventory control; coordinates and assists all county department through the procurement process for their IT needs; oversees and monitors inventory controls; responsible for multiple county-wide IT infrastructure accounts payables; works with a fair degree of independence in which the employee is expected to exercise good judgment; reports to the CIO.

STATEMENT OF TASKS:

  • Maintains appropriate inventory controls following established procedures and protocol to monitor and audit inventory levels are accurate and appropriate;
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including collection of deliveries, registering receipt and distribution;
  • Follows established best practices to ensure all county departments’ IT inventory is accounted for and secure before deployment;
  • Coordinates with county departments for the procurement process for IT related purchases;
  • Obtains quotes from established vendors for IT equipment and purchases for all county departments;
  • Places orders for approved IT related equipment, licenses, devices, etc. for county departments;
  • Reconciles deliverables to purchase orders and ensures items are registered into the inventory and billing system accurately;
  • Ensures necessary P.O.s are established by departments;
  • Processes county-wide IT infrastructure account payables ensuring distribution of charges across appropriate departments;
  • Maintains integrity and accuracy of inventory for IT hardware, MFM, phones, licensing and other related items;
  • Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies;
  • Responsible for handling tickets for new hire device requests;
  • Works closely with county departments and IT staff to provide accurate information related to equipment, license purchases, orders, P.O.s, etc.;
  • Provides documentation and reports as necessary to auditors or upon department request;
  • Facilitates efficient billing procedures;
  • Facilitates assigned hardware deployments;
  • Manages licensing and accounts of various systems for county departments.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of clerical methods used in keeping orderly and accurate records;
  • Good understanding of inventory control procedures;
  • Ability to stay organized while  handling multiple tasks;
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgement;
  • Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written directions;
  • Good knowledge of office terminology and equipment;
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to avoid clerical errors;
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors, internal and external customers;
  • Ability to attend work regularly and work under stressful conditions;
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and respectfully in a complex, multicultural work environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
