We are looking for a professional who wants to make a difference in the lives of others. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, marketing, communication and/or case management, be self-motivated, enjoy building new relationships, and provide exceptional customer service.

 

A day in the life of Payer Referrals:

  • Maintains a high functioning level of understanding on the intricacies of Case Management Programs within Medicare and non-Medicare payers, Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, manufacturers, providers, and other suppliers as it pertains to coordination of services for their members/patients, regulatory standards, and compliance, as well as a keen understanding of industry-related competition and current market.
  • Functions as an Account Management Liaison and partners with Payer Relations Contracting Administrator, and Business Development for target health plans and new insurances to promote referral sources.
  • Maintains KPIs for reporting, Quarterly/Monthly, to promote ongoing review of the necessary benchmarks for optimal sales or administration of health plan benefits and communicates trends and problem solves.
  • Pursues industry knowledge for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers as it pertains to PRISM core lines of business and how we can generate referrals and contracts.
  • Continually contributes to the creation and maintenance of private insurance contact cards and promotes high utilization within Billing, Client Operations, Quality Assurance, and Payer Relations.
  • Participates in departmental and interdepartmental meetings e.g., Client Operations to facilitate and capitalize off strategic alliances, open communication, problem solving and collaboration referral relationships and subsequent payment of claims to advance Prism’s effectiveness to successfully grow referral sources and community outreach by cultivating positive relationships throughout the organization.
  • Participates in monthly/quarterly meetings, in-services, education, and training to address and resolve gaps in knowledge, or other issues regarding health plan protocols, procedures, processes, and overall effectiveness of referral sources.
  • Seeks out and promotes extensive knowledge of product offerings and avenues to offer products to the patient that is compliant to our regulatory standards.
  • Maintains an excellent attendance record and drives excellent attendance of departmental team members through accountability measures and incentives.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance and reports any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.
  • Performs other related duties as requested and assigned by Leadership.

Position Requirements

Education and Skill Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 plus years of healthcare experience in a medical office setting, preferred.
  • An understanding of HME rules and regulations preferred.
  • Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to professionally interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to conduct meetings, present information logically, establish action items, and follow up with health plan contacts.
  • Email marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point
